Club Overview:

Academic Games – Learn, Play, and Compete!

Do you love learning new things, solving puzzles, and competing with friends? Academic Games might be the club for you! In Academic Games, students test their skills in math, reading, social studies, and logic through fun, fast-paced competitions. You’ll get to challenge yourself, work as a team, and even compete against students from other schools.

Two Types of Games We Play

1. Cube Games – These are board games played with special dice (called “cubes”) and a game mat.

  • Equations – A math strategy game where you use numbers and symbols to create an expression that matches a given “goal” (or sometimes prove the goal can’t be done!).

  • On-Sets – A logic game where you use cubes, cards, and colored dots to solve set theory challenges.

2. Reading Games – In these games, a reader gives clues or questions, and you use your knowledge to answer.

  • Presidents – Learn all about U.S. Presidents and important historical facts.

  • Propaganda – Spot different persuasion techniques used in ads, speeches, and media.

Academic Games is a great way to learn while having fun, make new friends, and show off your brainpower!
